1:1 SEN Practitioner

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and caring 1:1 practitioner for children in our pre-school who have a variety of needs. Working closely with our team and SENCo, your role will be to provide learning and emotional support for these children. For this post applicants must demonstrate a positive, patient and nurturing approach towards children. They must also be confident, willing to work one to one and able to deal with challenging situations.

 

Essential:

  • Clear DBS certificate (we will arrange this on appointment)

  • Able to work as team and use their initiative

  • Experience of working with young children, preferably experience with SEND

  • Flexible and reliable

  • Passionate about supporting children with additional needs

  • Able to record keep and work towards a set of targets

  • Plan activities for individuals and small groups of children

  • Able to communicate effectively with the team, parents and other professionals

 

The position is a temporary post, which will continue whilst The Kindergarten receives additional SEND funding. More information regarding this will be discussed with any candidate interested in the position.

 

Working hours: 30 hours per week Monday – Friday 9:00am – 3:00pm. This post could also be filled with 2 part time members of staff sharing the role.

Hourly rate: £9.24
