We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and caring 1:1 practitioner for children in our pre-school who have a variety of needs. Working closely with our team and SENCo, your role will be to provide learning and emotional support for these children. For this post applicants must demonstrate a positive, patient and nurturing approach towards children. They must also be confident, willing to work one to one and able to deal with challenging situations.
Clear DBS certificate (we will arrange this on appointment)
Able to work as team and use their initiative
Experience of working with young children, preferably experience with SEND
Flexible and reliable
Passionate about supporting children with additional needs
Able to record keep and work towards a set of targets
Plan activities for individuals and small groups of children
Able to communicate effectively with the team, parents and other professionals
The position is a temporary post, which will continue whilst The Kindergarten receives additional SEND funding. More information regarding this will be discussed with any candidate interested in the position.
Working hours: 30 hours per week Monday – Friday 9:00am – 3:00pm. This post could also be filled with 2 part time members of staff sharing the role.
