• Tadpoles

  We were so excited to find that we had a frog this morning. So much learning has been taking place and we have all been completely fascinated to watch the tadpoles turn into frogs 🐸

  

• Potatoes

  We harvested our potatoes and have been enjoying estting them at snack time. They were delicious. 🥔

  

• Chalk wall

  The chalk wall  has been a complete game changer at kindergarten. There is always someone using it to mark make, working at different heights, taking and assessing their own risks using the steps, working together, crossing the midline and practicing pre writing symbols.

  

• Bees

• The lighthouse keepers lunch.

  Planning in the moment at it’s best. Some of the children were making a lighthouse out of bricks and explaining to the other children that a lighthouse is used to warn boats that they are near land at night, because of this we introduced the book ‘The lighthouse keeper’s Lunch’ which then led us to lots of activities including making sandwiches and even having  a little try of mustard lime in the story,making our own lighthouse and connecting a circuit to make the light for the top. We have throughly enjoyed this book.

  

• Potatoes

  We harvested our potatoes and after giving them a good clean boiled them and enjoyed eating them for our snack with a little butter and some of the mint and parsley we also grew. They were absolutely delicious 😋

  

• Bedtime stories.

  We all enjoyed World book day and have shared lots of books together. It so was lovely to finish the day at Bedtime stories, thank you to all that came back to our evening story session. We had so much fun 🤩 

  

• Police visit.

  Today, PCSO ELLIS and PCSO PAYNE visited The Kindergarten, Wotton-Under-Edge, to talk to the children about the Role of the Police and keeping themselves safe. 
  The children also enjoyed exploring the police car and trying on hats.

  

• Lending library.

  Our lending library has now been restocked with some lovely new books to share with your children. 

  

• Exploring sounds.

  Thank to Candie from Heartfelt-sounds for visiting us today and letting us explore the world of sounds with you, which helped us relax. We enjoyed all the different instruments and the different sounds they made.
